The San Diego International Airport car rental companies, including Dollar, keep the needs of disabled drivers in mind, and therefore hire hand control equipment to be used by persons with a lower limb disability. However, never cross borders in your rented car without permission from Dollar. Dollar one way hires are sometimes popular with travellers who are planning a more extensive journey. If you will not be returning to San Diego Airport, one way hires can be arranged, permitting the rented car to be delivered to an alternative location, either in the state of California or in one of the nearby states. Just like in all major cities, the larger Interstates and highways can be busy during rush hours. The speed limits to follow in San Diego are no more than 30mph in urban areas, 65mph on open roads and 70mph on motorways and highways. Main roads lead out from the city, to areas such as Chula Vista, La Mesa, Spring Valley, Santee and Anaheim, which is little further away (about 95 miles to the northeast), and nearby to Los Angeles.Īlways obey all road rules in your rented car from Dollar, as traffic fines will be the responsibility of the renter, and not the car rental company. Parking lots are available in the city, for example, along Ash Street, West Boulevard and 6th Avenue, and motorists will find the city centre is organised in a grid-like pattern, with numbered or lettered roads. A GPS is recommended for anyone who is unfamiliar with the San Diego road network. They have good visuals as well, even in direct sunlight, and a selection of languages. The systems available are usually of a very good quality, and offer clear and accurate directions to any location, and in voice or visual mode. A GPS can be rented from Dollar, and will cost a few extra dollars per day of hire. These are their standard hours, holiday hours may vary.ĭriving in San Diego is quite straight forward, but easier if you have a satellite navigation system. Dollar at this rental location is open from Monday to Sunday between the hours of 04:30am and 12:00am. #DOLLAR CAR RENTAL SAN FRANCISCO AIRPORT LOCATION FREE#All shuttles are free of charge, available with wheelchair lifts when required and operate twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Buses are also available between the terminals and to the parking lots of the airport. Passengers can easily walk to these areas. Terminal 1’s shuttle stop is at the centre traffic aisle, and the stop at Terminal 2 is found on the west end of the building, at the traffic island. To reach Dollar, passengers should call for a shuttle service, or simply go to the shuttle stops to find a vehicle for transport. Dollar is not actually located in the terminals, but at a further location, off the airport’s property. Customers who need to contact Dollar, however, may use the courtesy phones nearby the baggage claim halls, and at the car hire company reservation boards. Both of these terminals have an East and West side, and many shops, restaurants and services such as wireless internet connections, restrooms, ATMs and pay phones. Terminal 1 is used for domestic flights, and by several airline companies, while in Terminal 2 passengers will find the facilities required for international flights. This terminal has only four airline gates, and is therefore smaller than the other two. This is one of the airport’s busiest routes. The airport of San Diego has three terminals – Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and the Commuter Terminal, especially for flights coming from and heading to Los Angeles. Dollar San Diego International Airport is one of the car hire companies available, offering many kinds of vehicles and affordable rental rates. #DOLLAR CAR RENTAL SAN FRANCISCO AIRPORT LOCATION CODE#The airport of San Diego, or the Lindbergh Field Airport, has the IATA code of SAN, and many facilities for its passengers, including a good selection of car rental companies.
